Image organizes ARTLANDS. Towards new forms of constructing the territory, project revolving around the activity of biologist Carlo Scoccianti, a WWF specialist in the conservation of “wetland areas” and since 1996 the developer of a series of works for the creation of new ecological systems in the Florentine Plains.

 will be presented to the public on May 18, 2012 at 4:30 pm at the Centro per l'arte contemporanea Luigi Pecci in Prato, Italy. Marco Bazzini, director of the Pecci center, Gianni Pettena, architect and artist, Pietro Valle, architect, and Carlo Scoccianti, biologist, will attend. Among the guests is American artist Alan Sonfist. As part of the same program, on May 20 at 11 am, at the Oasi Stagni di Focognano in Campi Bisenzio, the artwork titled "Beyond Agnes Denes (homage to)" will be unveiled: the work inaugurates a new large wetland area dedicated to the American artist, one of the pioneers of environmental art.

Promoted by the WWFARTLANDS is made in collaboration with the Province of Florence, the Municipalities of Campi Bisenzio and Lastra a Signa, the Università degli Studi di Firenze, the Centro per l'arte contemporanea Luigi Pecci in Prato, the three Land Reclamation Consortia involved with the areas in question, Quadrifoglio, Publiacqua, L’Isola dei Renai and organized by Image.
